Current news:

February 4, 2012

Welcome back!  I haven't updated my website since the beginning of December...over 6 weeks have passed.  Christmas was great.  I got my
beyblades which is the only thing I asked for and got to see lots of family and friends.  Been really busy since then.

Today is my 7th birthday and as tradition, instead of "me" writing this, Momma and Daddy will write a little note:

Daddy:

I am so proud of you Gio.  This past year, you really became a "big boy".   It's been only 5 months since you began learning piano and you are
simply AWESOME.  I hope you keep it up and become one of the best piano players ever.  You also did so well in Kindergarten getting up to a
2nd grade reading level almost.  This year in 1st grade, you've made your teacher really happy by being such a great student and Mommy and I are
again, so proud of you for getting all High grades, advanced scores and being selected for "APEX"...and don't forget the Golden Apple Award!
GREAT STUFF!.  I am also happy about how good you are becoming at soccer, making the A level Turkey Bowl Select team.  You're starting to
attack the ball and becoming more willing to get physical.  Plus...you are learning street hockey really fast.  In Cross check Christian youth group
last spring, you ended up 2nd place overall in points earned and this year, you are 1st place at the half way point.  This means you answer
questions, turn in your chargers and recite your memory verses better than anyone.  Jesus is very happy that you honor Him so much by being a
good Bible student.

Overall, you are good at everything you do.  You are a healthy, cute, intelligent, athletic and musical child prodigy who loves God, his family and
friends.  Words can not really express how I feel about you my son so I'll leave it at I love you and am so proud of you!

Mommy:

Sunday 12/18/2011:

Where to start?  Well..first thing is my 6 year old folder of my picture/media site has been updated with a BUNCH of pics from soccer and my trip to
Florida.  Why was I in Florida do you ask?  My big sister Maria is a dancer and her dance class went on a trip to dance at Downtown Disney as part
of their Christmas stuff.  I had a lot of fun.  Maria had to be with her class the whole time but me, Mommy and Daddy hung out and had a great time.
First Wednesday, we went to Magic kingdom.  Maria was there but also the burkes..another family we're friends with.  We went on practically
everything!  That night, was the Disney Christmas event..TONS of lights, lasers, a parade, fireworks, a show..it was AWESOME!  Nothing about
Jesus, the meaning of Christmas but it was still really nice.

Thursday, me, Momma and Daddy went to Universal studios and Adventure Island.  We went on EVERYTHING in BOTH PARKS I was tall
enough to go on but 1 ride even though we got all the way to the parks and had to go back to our condo because we forgot our tickets.  (a little
frustrating).  FUN TIME!!!!  Not very busy at all!

Friday, me and the parents went to Holy Land experience and watched a couple shows about Christmas and Jesus' life and walked around a theme
park replica of an old town in Israel.  I even got to take communion for the first time ever at the "Lord's supper" room and "Jesus" (actor) gave it to me
while teaching a lesson.  Pretty cool.  Saturday was when my sis danced so we all went to see her.  They were AWESOME!  A really good time.  We
came home late Sunday night....

So Monday when I got back home from school, I threw off my book bag and ran to the piano and yelled "I'm going to play for 1000 hours" .  After
about 30 minutes, my wish for 1000 hours ended but I had fun with it and decided to start licking a ball around the house playing.  While I was running
around I yelled "I miss this place".  It's nice that I'm able to go to a lot of places but I really like just staying home and relaxing on the couch or playing
piano or with my toys.

Speaking of toys,,,this week was the first week I began playing with cars again in almost a year.  Daddy is excited because he "misses me playing with
toys".  I don't know what I was thinking...toys are so much fun!

Things are going really well with Piano....This past Friday, my teacher gave me a book of Christmas music and I've been practicing.  I can play about
1/2 the songs and it's only been 2 days.  Momma is very proud of me as she helps me learn and Daddy loves sitting and listening to me.

One more thing...I'm not great at it yet and not very fast but I learned how to tie my shoes!  I'm really a big boy.

Saturday 12/3:

Daddy was throwing paper balls at me from his new sneakers and I decided I was going to duck really fast so they wouldn't hit me...because...you
know, they'll hurt being paper (just kidding..but it seemed funny at the time).  So when I was ducking, I SLAMMED my bottom lip onto a cabinet
door and cut it....after LOTS of screaming, crying and freaking out....the ice Daddy told me to use and the spit mommy told me to use made my cut go
away but it was BLOODY!

Friday 12/2:

MY 1st REPORT CARD for 1st grade at Rydal.....it is posted to the right I did AWESOME....all TOP grades!  Please look at it!
After school, I bit my lip and my other front tooth that was loose since my first one fell out started bleeding....Daddy told me to rinse my mouth out
then, looking into the mirror, I pulled my tooth out myself.  Now...I am missing my 2 front teeth just in time for Christmas!

12/1/2011:

Hey everyone....it's been a month since me and Daddy updated my website.  Last time, I told you all about my Golden Apple Award.  This
month...some more cool stuff happened to me.

So right after out last post, I lost one of my 2 front teeth.  It's like the 3rd or 4th tooth I lost so far.  I've been going around all month with only 1 tooth.
Daddy said it gives me character but I don't know what that means because like I told him, "the golden apple was an award for character so I don't
need any more"

So during this time, my Fox Chase minors team won their first playoff game in double OT then lost the 2nd round.  But...after losing the 2nd round
game I tried out and MADE the Turkey bowl "A" team!  Daddy was so proud of me.  But..I couldn't play in the 1st game of the Turkey Bowl because
I decided to try to catch a baseball with my face when having a catch with Anthony next door.  Lots of blood..hurt A LOT but no serious damage.

So we play in the turkey bowl and I did pretty well the next 2 games.  1 of them, I got to play Goaltender a few times.   I played Left Forward the rest
of the time and got an assist in one of the games.  In the playoff rounds, My Coach, Coach Ray, changed the formation and only used 1 forward so I
was basically a substitute.  But..when I got in the semi final game, I got 2 shots on goal and our whole team only had 8 the whole game.   We went to
the finals and after 2 over times....it was still 0-0.  We ended up losing 2-1 in shootouts.  VERY exciting even though we lost...my first soccer games vs
other clubs!

NOTE FROM DADDY:  On Tuesday night of the week Thanksgiving is on..Gio and I were praying as usual. We always pray together during
bedtime business and the only times we miss it is if I am out for some reason.  This night, I felt compelled particularly to be a lot more specific for Gio
when giving thanks to Jesus for His gifts to me.    After I was done, Gio said "Thank you Daddy".  I said, "for what" and Gio's reply..."thank you for
thanking Jesus that you have me!".  HOW PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I LOVE YOU GIO!  ALWAYS!!!

11/5/2011:

This past week, I was given really good news at Rydal...I won the Golden Apple Award at Rydal.  It's for kindness, helpfulness, citizenship, fairness and
other acts of good.  It's a really big deal.  I was so proud!  When I got home..my teacher called and was talking to mommy while I was giving the Golden
Apple and the letter home to Daddy.
CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LETTER! This coming week, I go to an assembly and get to read something to
my whole class.

10/29/2011:

Today, me and Daddy were watching some of our shows on Saturday morning.  From DVR, we watched Transformers and Thundercats.  After that, he
was searching for what show we were gonna watch and he found the Doodlebops.  Apparently, I used to watch Doodlebops when I was little like 1 or 2
years old but I DID NOT remember them AT ALL.

Mommy got sad when she heard me say I forgot about them.  They said it was a sign I was growing up because I was forgetting stuff that happened when
I was a real little kid.

My FIRST HAT TRICK in soccer!  WOW!!  What a feeling.  My team tied 4-4 and I scored 3 of them.   Way cool!

10/10/2011

ANOTHER MILE STONE...this past Saturday, I had my very first sleepover.  My best friend Brian had his 7th birthday and we had a sleepover camp
party in his back yard.   It was AWESOME!  Mommy was sad that I'm growing up too fast though and she was very worried about me.
But,......everything worked out and I was okay!  My FIRST SLEEPOVER!  AWESOME

In school, I'm still doing really well getting all high grades on my work and being good.  I am one of the best readers in class and pretty soon, will be trying
out for APEX with is mentally gifted.

Soccer is going well...my team stinks but that's because we have a TON of little 5 year olds that don't know how to play.  I'm doing well and with my
friends Ryan and Kenny, have fun.

My new adventure of learning how to play piano is going well too.....I am moving really fast through the books and my teacher loves it.  Just like Daddy
coaches me soccer, Mommy coaches me at piano when my piano teacher isn't there.  I learn from her once a week but Mommy practices with me 4-5
times a week.  It REALLY helps me...thanks Mom

Time to go and watch Power  Rangers, Batman and Transformers with Daddy!

9/19/2011

This is Gio's Daddy and instead of writing from Gio's point of view, for this posting, I'm writing to Gio.

My Son...I love you so much.  You've made me so proud of you these last few weeks.  First off....I absolutely CAN NOT believe that you are in 1st
grade!  I'm so happy and proud that you have grown (so far) into a wonderful little boy.  You are no longer a baby....when I look at you, I see a boy..a big
boy.  You are such a good boy (most of the time), so so smart, so respectful of others, so helpful, so happy.  I love playing soccer with you, having a
baseball catch or football catch, playing video games and most recently, teaching you how to ride your bike.  It's been AWESOME that you learned so
fast
how to ride your bike without training wheels.  I love exercising running next to you as you ride.  It's such a big boy thing.  Every minute we spend
together,
is a blessing that I cherish.  Sometimes, I take it for granted, the time we have together.  Really, I know it's been a blink of an eye since you were born and
now you're 6!  TIME FLIES.  Pretty soon, you'll be older....maybe 10-12-12..maybe in high school, maybe later.  You'll read this and when you do, I
want you to know a few things:

1) If I'm ever hard on you, tough on you, sound mean...when you do something wrong....it's only to teach you something and help you grow into a fine
young man.
2) I know I;m sometimes really busy..too busy to do anything but what has to be done...sometimes I place ahead of other things..I only do it because I feel
that we should always do our very best in all we do.  I always try to make time for you even if it's just 10-15 minutes at night during bed time business
where I cherish the time we read, talk, sing(at times) and pray together.
3) I am so proud of you!
4) I love you more than anything in this world!
5) I hope that someday, I'll be there when you read this!  I pray to God that I can live long enough and healthy enough to see you grow into a man,
graduate college, get married, and have kids of your own.

Lord Jesus..please keep me safe and keep my son Gio safe too.  Please allow both of us to stay healthy in all areas of our self and grow together in our
father/son relationship.  I pray Gio learns from me how to act, what's right an wrong, and how to be a "boy" and "man" as he grows up.  I pray for the
wisdom, strength, courage and patience to be the best father I can be for Gio.  I pray that you walk beside us and teach us and that he calls upon you to
be
his Lord and Savior when he gets old enough to decide on his own..not just listen to me.  I ask all of these things in your name Lord Jesus, King of
Kings....AMEN

Gio...I love you son!  9/19/2011 on your 1st grade back to school night!

9/1/2011:

WOW..about a month and SOME really big things are happening.   First off, I lived through my first Hurricane.  It was called Hurricane Irene and it hit the
Jersey shore.  It wasn't too bad in Philly but very rainy.  Apparently, while I was sleeping, there was a Tornado warning and a bunch of water came
rushing
into our basement.  The next day, some tree branches broke off.  But..I was okay and my family and home stayed safe.

BIG BIG MOMENT....I can now ride a 2 wheel bike by myself.  AWESOME!!!!!  Video coming soon!

and on September 7th, I start my very first day of 1st grade at Rydal Elementary.  See you then!

8/6/2011:

This week, I went to the Poconos and stayed at "Uncle" Roger and "Aunt" Ria's mountain house.  My whole family went plus Tia Margo, Ryan, Tyler and
"aunt" Carla and the girls.  The girls are Vivi, Bella and Julia.  Julia is my age and she's my buddy.  We had lots of fun together.  Daddy was typing stuff
but I
saw him and got mad because he was embarrassing me so I made him delete it.  Anyway, just hanging out right now in Seaside....Daddy updated my
magix
site with a bunch of pics so check them out

7/31/2011:

Hello once again....busy couple of weeks in my life learning new things.  Daddy has been a big help teaching me big boy stuff.  1st, he took my training
wheels
off and took me out to practice om my bike.  Of course he ran next to me holding me up but I did pretty well.  Then, he put me in the pool at a camp
called
Keswick (Kes-ick) and began teaching me how to swim.  I practiced my swimming in the pool at Wildwood and in Aunt Delores's pool.  Without a
swimming vest, I can kick off the wall and "paddle" pretty well.  I can put my face in the water and hold my breath about 10 seconds or so but I don't use
my
arms right or breathe right yet to call it swimming.  He's also teaching me how to tred.  With my swim vest and snorkel on, I can kick and paddle for
almost 3
minutes straight.

So, I mentioned Wildwood...we went there on our yearly trip to see my cousins from Indiana and Ohio.  It was fun.  Sara is the only cousin my age but we
play a lot.  One night we went to the "sea shell" ice cream place and I had a big chocolate ice cream which I turned to soup and drank with a straw.
Another
day, we went to the water park and went on a ton of slides, then got changed and met my cousins Dominic and Michael from Seaside and went on the
rides
all night.  It was AWESOME.

7/14/2011:

Okay listen....I was walking Cenzo with Daddy and then all of a sudden, OUCH!!!!   My left arm starting hurting.  I yelled out "Ouch,,,,what was that..my
arm just started hurting".  Daddy took me home and took care of me..Mommy came home and was also helping.  I was brave but man did that BEE
STING
hurt....my very first sting.  Stay away from bees

7/9/2011:

Today was a day of ups and downs.  First, I went to the Beach with Mommy, Anthony, Maria and all my cousins and aunts.  Daddy didn't go because he
was resting after having his surgery a couple days ago.  Anyway, the waves were rough and causing a big wall to be made out of the sand.  We thought it
was
fun getting slammed against the wall of sand.  All of a sudden, a crazy wave came and grabbed me and started pulling me into the ocean.  I got swept
under
and Mommy was really scared.  My cousin Analiz saved my life!  She grabbed me and caught me as I glided past her.  Mommy, while rushing to try and
get
to me, dropped her I-phone into the ocean.  A really scary situation.  Thank God I was rescued before I got pulled out more.

Then tonight, me and my cousin Lauren went to the boardwalk to get on some rides. It was the first night ever I went on the super slide and one of roller
coasters..called the Mighty Mouse all by myself.  It was so much fun!

All in all, a really big day in my life.

6/30/2011:

Today, I got my final report in card in the mail from Kindergarten and guess what.......it was ALL O'S which means outstanding!  My reading level is on "J"
which is middle of 2nd grade....I am so smart.....at least, that's what Mommy and Daddy tell me.  he he.

****NOTE from Daddy:  Of course everyone knows that these past 6 years plus I am the one who has been making this website and acting like it's
been Gio.  Right now, he's sitting next to me reading what I write and for the 1st time...is officially going to type the next couple of lines....WOW!
My Big boy!

I had fun in Kindergarten.  I made lots of  frends.  Iwant to have a lot of fun this summer.  Iknow I am ready for the first grade.  listen to my poem about it
called I know.  I cant wait to start my new schoole Rydal and see all my friends and make new frends.

6/27/2011:
I just had a good week....Mommy and Daddy's last day of school was Wednesday so we get to spend so much time this summer together.  On Thursday,
Daddy took me to the bank and we cashed in all my coins and money from my piggy banks...I had over $140.  He told me I could spend half so we went
to
game stop and I bought Epic  Mickey and Batman brave and bold video games!  Then on Friday at 10:00am, we went to see the new CARS 2 movie.  I
LOVED IT.  Plus...all week at night was the "big house" VBS at church.  It was so much fun!  Then on Saturday, we went to Seaside and I got to play
with
my cousins.  Saturday, I stayed up really late because it was Adriana's birthday party and all the younger cousins came over for ice cream and cake.
Overall...a good week.

6/17/2011:  Today, I OFFICIALLY got out of Kindergarten!!!!  I passed with flying colors.  My report card will come in the mail soon but my teacher
told
Mommy how great I did.  She gave me my final reading tests the last week of school and I am on a 2nd grade reading level, end mid-way through 2nd
report
card.  That's really good for a 6 year old because I am reading as well as I would be when I was 7 about to turn 8.   I'm looking forward to my summer
because I get to spend a lot of time with my cousins in Seaside and take lots of trips and spend lots of time with Mommy and Daddy.  One thing though,
after
summer when I start school at Rydal, I am going to miss not being able to go in to work with Mommy.  I really liked driving to school with her everyday.
I'm
a little sad about that

.
5/30/2011:

Today, me, mommy and Daddy came home from Seaside. We were there all weekend working to open the house. I mostly played. Sunday, we had a big
BBQ and I played a lot with my cousin Sammy. It was fun. Tonight, we met up with My big sister Maria and her boyfriend Brett and we went to Lee's
Hoagie house for dinner. Then, I got a creme filled donut for free and when I got home, I had a catch with Brett and Maria...It was awesome because
Daddy and me have been having catches for a while and I'm learning how to but tonight with Brett, I catched really good. I caught like 50 out of 100!
Daddy said he was so proud of me and he would've been catching himself but his shoulder is hurt.

see you later

5/21/2011:

Me and my Daddy just recorded me saying the poem my teacher Mrs. Cover taught me about being ready for 1st grade. Then, he surprised me by
putting it
to the Union Goal song music..he knows I LOVE to dance to that song when they score so he made it for me.

Lately, I've been trying to decide if I'm going to get rid of my toys....I don't really play with most of them anymore and Daddy says that other little boys
could
really like them. A group called purple heart is coming Wednesday so I have to go through them with him and Momma before then and get rid of anything I
don't want.

Today, Daddy has been trying to get me to go to a park with him..It's a really sunny day but for some reason, I just want to stay in my PJ's and hang out at
home. Oh well...check out my picture album site which now contains some videos too.

5/6/2011:

Got my 3rd report card today from Kindergarten and I did awesome...I had all O's for outstanding except 1 S for satisfactory in gym....My old gym
teacher
said he won't give a Kindergarten kid an "O' because there's always room for improvement. Very frustrating.

My trip to SPAIN

So during the week before Easter which was Spring break for me, Mommy and Daddy, us and My sister Maria went to SPAIN to visit my big brother
Anthony. We started our trip on Friday 4/15 and got on the plane at 6:00pm.........4 1/2 hours later, we actually took off! There were 2 problems with the
plane and we had to wait forever on it. But, My Mommy and Daddy kept telling me how good of a boy I was being. It was cool when we took off
because
it was already way past my bedtime and I got to play with my own little TV. Daddy let me watch Ice Age 2 until around mid-night then I decided I
wanted to
go to sleep.

The next day, we landed in Spain in a city named Madrid and Mommy rented a car. We got stuck in the parking lot though because Mommy didn't
remember how to put a stick shift in reverse and Daddy doesn't know how to drive that kind of car. The funniest part was Momma sent Daddy to get help
and he doesn't speak Spanish that much. But, she figured it out with help by a guy that worked there and we began our 4 hour drive to a city named
Alicante. Half way there we stopped for lunch and I was fascinated that there were 10 different styles of Kit Kat. Daddy found out later that in the U.S.,
Kit
Kat is a candy bar from Hershey but everywhere else in the world, it's, it's own chocolate brand.

We got to Alicante and found it was a pretty cool place. I got to see Anthony which was really fun because I miss my big brother. It's suppose to be a
beach town but it was cool all week. We did go to the beach twice and both times, I found a little boy and played soccer with him...well...he called it
"futbol".
The first day, I went on a playground at the beach and then after a while, got bored. I saw a little boy playing futbol so I asked Momma, "how do you say
'do you want to play soccer with me' in spanish". She asked for me and we played together for a long time. The same thing happened a couple days later
too! It was fun playing soccer in Spain with spanish kids.

So we had a lot of fun there everyday. We did A LOT of walking, took LOTS of pictures, went out to eat every day and some other things. 3 of my
favorite things there was the castle, the parades and the carnival. The castle was on top of a big mountain and you could see it from almost everywhere.
We
took an elevator up and walked down. It was SOOOO high...all the cars looked like toys. The Parades were called "processions" and they had bands and
big statues of Jesus and all the scenes of his death. They were carried by a million people and were very beautiful. They had 2-3-4 parades every day and
I
LOVED watching them. And of course, the carnival. We bought enough tickets to go on rides 2 days..It was small but I went on the Moon Bounce super
slide, 4 wheelers, and the extra high bouncy bungee thingy.

Later in the week, my whole family..even my big brother, got in another car and we went back to Madrid. We walked A LOT there too. It was different
from Alicante because it was a really big city. Mostly, we just walked, watched things and ate. My favorite part was this street performer making
GIGANTIC bubbles in the city square. I ran around for an hour playing in the bubbles

4/10/2011:
2 great things happened today..1st, my second tooth came out....I took it out all by myself..It was lose anyway so I was wiggling it and Daddy
said to pinch it because my fingers were smaller and then it came out....same thing happened with my first tooth....funny thing is they are next to
each other.

2nd thing that happened , at least Daddy thought it was awesome, was that I picked up the phone and called my friend Brian.  I memorized his
phone number and Daddy said "I can't take it my son is this big he calls his own friends".  I didn't think it was a big deal.

There is also a sad thing that happened recently since my last post.  A boy named Kenny Kline died.  He was one of Maria and Anthony's
friends and was always really nice to me.  His daddy always sings funny songs to me.  It's been hard for all of them.  I've been telling Mommy
and Maria not to think or talk about it because then they won't cry but they don't listen.  Daddy tells me not talking about isn't healthy and they
should talk about it.  He was telling me what it means to die and thought I'd be really sad because he said "So he gave in and asked me when
and I told him "I'll see him when Jesus comes back".  Daddy hugged me with a little tear in his eye and said, "it's amazing you're 6 and you're
smarter than I am".

I already knew that

3/26/2011:

Today..I lost my first tooth!  It was a big day.....SOOOO exciting!

3/7/2011:

I am so happy...yesterday..My Daddy found on Sproutonline my commercial I am in.  It's my first commercial and I am jumping and playing.  I
am a little shy about it though because when I recorded it, I was in a big green room and I didn't really know what I was doing in the one part.
It's hard to pretend I am in front of a big building and to jump around....video is in middle of page

Today is our son's 6th birthday.  His Mommy and I are so proud of how he's grown.  He's officially not our baby anymore although we still call
him "the baby".  We are so Blessed by God's grace that to be a family..that we found each other and got married and were able to have such a
wonderful little boy.  He is Healthy, Happy, Intelligent, Smart, listens well, and is just an all around good boy.  I could not ask for anything
more.

Gio...if you ever read this website when you get older, please know that Mommy and I, your brother Anthony, your sister Maria and all of
your family (Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and even close friends) all love you with all of our hearts and think nothing but good things
about you.  You are awesome!

Happy Birthday my Son!
